Diaper Size Chart for Pakistan: Molfix, Canbebe, Bona Papa and Leo Sizes by Weight
Diaper sizes in Pakistan are numbered 1 to 6 (sometimes 7), but each brand gives them different names and weight ranges, which is why a "Large" in one brand can be a size 4 and in another a size 5. Always choose by your baby's weight, not age. This chart uses the weight ranges printed on the packs we stock.
Diaper size chart by weight
| Size | Molfix | Canbebe | Shop |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Newborn | Newborn, small babies | Newborn, small babies | Molfix 84 · Canbebe 84 |
| 2 Mini | 3–6 kg | 3–6 kg | Molfix 100 · Canbebe 70 |
| 3 Midi | 4–9 kg | 4–9 kg | Molfix 80 · Canbebe 28 |
| 4 Maxi | 7–14 kg | 7–18 kg | Molfix 72 · Canbebe 70 |
| 4+ Maxi Plus | – | 9–20 kg | Canbebe 46 |
| 5 Junior | 11–18 kg | 11–25 kg | Molfix 62 · Canbebe 66 |
| 6 Extra Large | 15 kg and above | 16 kg and above | Molfix 54 · Canbebe 58 |
Weight ranges overlap on purpose. If your baby is at the top of one range and the bottom of the next, the bigger size usually fits better and leaks less.
Bona Papa, Leo and Momse use different names
- Bona Papa: Small = size 2, Medium = 3, Large = 4, Extra Large = 5, XXL = 6. For example Bona Papa Large size 4 and Extra Large size 5.
- Leo: Small = 2, Large = 4, X-Large = 5, as in Leo Large size 4 (72) and Leo X-Large size 5 (60).
- Momse: goes up to size 7 (XXXL) in pants for bigger toddlers.
So a "Large" from Bona Papa or Leo is a size 4, while "Extra Large" is a size 5 in those brands but a size 6 in Molfix and Canbebe. Go by the number and the weight on the pack.
Signs it is time to size up
- Red marks on the thighs or tummy after changes
- Leaks at the back or legs even when changed on time
- The tapes only just reach the front panel
- Your baby has moved into the top of the weight range
Tape diapers or pants?
Tape diapers are easiest for newborns and young babies who are changed lying down. Once your baby rolls, crawls or starts walking (usually from size 4), pull-up pants such as Molfix Pants Maxi 4 or Molfix Pants Extra Large 6 make changes quicker. They also help with potty training.
How many diapers will you need?
Newborns typically use 8–12 diapers a day, older babies around 6–8, and toddlers around 4–6. That is roughly 200–300 diapers a month in the first months, which is why large packs matter.
Pay less per diaper
Divide the pack price by the number of diapers. Bigger packs nearly always work out cheaper: at the time of writing, the Molfix Mini 100-piece mega pack costs about Rs 41 per diaper, against about Rs 55 in the 35-piece twin pack. Buy a small pack first if you are trying a new brand, then switch to a jumbo or mega pack once you know it suits your baby.
Preventing diaper rash
- Change wet or dirty diapers promptly, and give some diaper-free time each day.
- Clean gently with water or fragrance-free baby wipes, then let the skin dry.
- Use a zinc-based barrier cream at each change if the skin looks pink (see baby bath and body care).
- See a doctor if the rash has blisters, pus, bright red patches with spots around the edges, or does not improve in 3 days.
Shop all baby diapers and wipes or the whole baby and mother range. For older family members, see adult diapers.
Frequently asked questions
What diaper size is right for a 6-month-old?
Most 6-month-olds weigh 6–9 kg, which is usually size 3 (Midi) or size 4 (Maxi). Go by weight and fit rather than age.

Both are "Maxi", but Molfix size 4 is marked 7–14 kg and Canbebe size 4 is marked 7–18 kg. Fit can differ slightly between brands.
Which is cheaper, Molfix or Canbebe?
It depends on the size and pack. Compare the price per diaper on the product pages; mega and jumbo packs are usually the best value for both brands.
