xXenglu-Met Tablets 12.5Mg+1000Mg contains empagliflozin and metformin. Empagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that helps the kidneys remove excess glucose through the urine. It is used with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes, and is also prescribed to reduce cardiovascular risk and to support patients with heart failure or chronic kidney disease. Metformin is a biguanide, the most widely used first-line medicine for type 2 diabetes. It reduces glucose production by the liver and improves the body's response to insulin.
How to use
Take with or just after meals to reduce stomach upset. Extended-release tablets should be swallowed whole. Always follow the dose and directions given by your doctor or pharmacist and read the leaflet inside the pack.
