xWhat Is Acefyl Cough Syrup?
Acefyl Cough Syrup combines Diphenhydramine with acefylline, manufactured by Nabiqasim Industries, to relieve dry and irritating cough in adults and children.
How It Works
The combination acts on the cough center to reduce its excitability, calming the urge to cough, while the antihistamine component also contributes a mild sedative and drying effect on respiratory secretions.
Dosage
Adults typically take 1-2 teaspoons 3-4 times daily; children generally take 1/2-1 teaspoon, and infants aged 4-12 months are usually given 1/4 teaspoon, though a doctor should confirm dosing for young children. Always use the measuring device provided.
Side Effects
Mild drowsiness is the most commonly reported side effect, given the antihistamine component.
Precautions
Use only for short-term relief of cough symptoms. Antihistamine-containing cough preparations should be used with particular caution in young children, and a doctor should be consulted before use in infants.

Returns and refunds
